All of us at Stokes Partners are congratulating to Nicola McIntyre and Hilary Askew on the successful completion of the STEP Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients. Nicola McIntyre is a Partner and Head of our Wills, Tax and Probate Team. Hilary Askew is an Associate and Senior Solicitor in the team.
This qualification is no small achievement, entailing a 6 day intensive course focusing on the specific needs of vulnerable clients and requiring further independent research and the submission of a dissertation.
Nicola and Hilary are now Associate Members of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). They both plan to undertake further training later this year which we’re sure they will come through with flying colours and following which they will be eligible for full STEP membership.
STEP is the global professional association for practitioners who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning. STEP members help families plan for their futures, from drafting wills to advising on issues concerning international families, protection of the vulnerable, family businesses and philanthropic giving.
At Stokes Partners the care of all our clients is our number one priority and we take every opportunity to support staff in study and training that enables them to improve our service. The work of STEP practitioners frequently brings them into contact with vulnerable clients and this qualification is testament to the dedication of our Wills, Tax and Probate team in making sure that they have up to date specialist knowledge so that they can meet the needs of all their clients, especially those with particular vulnerabilities.
