All of us at Stokes Partners were delighted to host Archie from Reminiscence Learning last week. Reminiscence Learning is an amazing Somerset based charity specialising in raising awareness of dementia across communities and generations, providing respite activity to support carers and those they care for and organising training sessions, carer support groups and community activity sessions.
Archie the knitted scarecrow is Reminiscence Learning’s Mascot; for some years now he has had various adventures around Somerset, marked by the tag #ArchieExploresSomerset.
Kit O’Brien, Stokes Partners’ Business Development Partner says “I’ve been keen to have Archie spend time with us for a while now but he’s been much too busy visiting other local businesses. It was great that he finally found time to do a period of legal work experience and a lovely opportunity for us to highlight the work of this wonderful charity. Archie absolutely threw himself into office life even finding time to have a cuddle with Wellington the cat!”
After his busy week, Archie joined Kit at The Sangha House, Taunton’s welfare and mindfulness centre and they had their picture taken together! Archie has decided he needs a quieter home for this week so is now exploring life at The Sangha House where he will be joining classes and enjoying treatments!
